Fight or flight reflex: Henery vs. Forrest

In in tense situations a person's instinct to run varies based on their character, because of one's definition of self-preservation.

Forrest unlike Henry, who ran because he was afraid to be killed, ran because his officer told him to do so. And even then he wouldn't completely listen. Forrest's reflect was fight not flight, he had been trained so well that he even went back to help his fallen comrades after he noticed that he was running by himself.

Henry ran because he was afraid, not because his side was told to retreat. He even ran past other soldiers that were running, Henry's first reflex was flight, mainly because he wasn't ready for a fight like that. Looking back he even missed his boring life back home.

Forrest's first reaction to an oncoming battle was to fight for survival, while Henry's was to run away to preserve his life even just a bit longer.
